Why not stay for a few days so you can enjoy everything
that La Belle Adventures has to offer. Labelle
is situated only minutes from Litchfield National
Park's main attraction - Wangi Falls, so it's
an ideal base to explore the surrounding area.
There's
always plenty of space at the La Belle Homestead
Campgrounds that is set in a shady, well watered
parklike setting. Facilities for caravans, camper
vans and tents are available with limited powered
cabins on site.
Powered
amenities including hot and cold showers, toilets,
laundry, refrigerator and ice making facilities
as well as BBQ areas are supplied.
Guest
are required to bring their own food although
meals and supplies can be purchased from the popular
Monsoon Café and Wangi Kiosk that are within half
hours drive from the La Belle Homestead grounds.
Guests that partake in La Belle’s fishing tours
can cook their own Barramundi within the campgrounds.

The
journey begins at the La Belle homestead grounds.
La Belle is still a working cattle station so
you'll find out what life in the outback is all
about, and see what we do day in, day out. From
the open hinterlands of the main station your
guide will take you through the cattle station
before you board the 'La Belle Adventurer' cruise
boat. Along the way you will see plenty of wildlife
and scenery. On the 'La Belle Adventurer' you
will cruise amongst untouched rainforests and
native wildlife on one of La Belle's main Billabongs.

Combine some of the World's best Barramundi and
Fresh Water Fishing with the beautiful La Belle
Station... and you've got a serious world class
Top End Fishing Adventure! You will journey through
the station’s own exclusive fishing billabongs,
wetlands and the Reynolds river. These waters
are teaming with Barramundi and other exotic fresh
water species such as red claw and cherubim and
your captain knows all the best spots to catch
them! Charter
the luxury Avalanche Tracker boat that has plenty
of room and comfort and is complete with rods
and lures, live fish tank, onboard esky and ice,
electronic positioning motor, stand up seats,
fish finder, light gas filled vests and safety
gear. Or, hire one of our flat deck aluminium
fishing boats that include; rods, reels and lures,
esky and ice, life jackets and safety gear.

Cattle
Mustering - LaBelle Outback Adventures
Join
in on the thrill of our twice annual Cattle Muster.
Imagine being in control of over 4,000 head of
cattle on a two day journey through La Belle’s
amazing landscapes. This is a once in a lifetime
opportunity to be a part of a great Australian
tradition, and meet some interesting characters
along the way. You certainly feel the adrenalin
of the muster as the professionals go about their
daring job. In fact you'll be riding alongside
all the action in one of our comfortable Jeep
Wranglers or the high flying four seater helicopter.
But the real excitement is in the air as the mustering
helicopter darts and weaves only metres from the
ground.

Crocodile
hunter with a difference - LaBelle Outback Adventures
Crocodile
Egg Collection is an annual ritual where La Belle’s
expert station guides and local crocodile farmers
collect wild crocodile eggs for various breeding
programs. Some of the largest crocodiles are trapped
and relocated to local crocodile farms. This is
the type of stuff you used to only see on television,
only at La Belle its something you can partake
in. Join in on a day exploring the stations lush
wetlands and hinterlands in our R44 helicopters
and air boats, as you delve into the realm of
the crocodile.

Hunting

La Belle station's pristine environment is also
the home to many feral pigs that are controlled
by our fully accredited professional hunting safari
team. La Belle has its own exclusive hunting retreat
at the neighbouring Welltree station with a guest
house that accommodates up to 6 hunting enthusiasts
as well as safari tents. Hunting groups can tour
the area via air boats, four wheel drive and helicopter.
Packages include meals, guides and accommodation.
A gun license is essential if you wish to participate.
Bookings are essential.

It also
features numerous waterfalls which cascade from a sandstone
plateau called the Tabletop Range, intriguing magnetic
termite mounds, historical sites, and the weathered
sandstone pillars of the Lost City.
How
To Get To Litchfield National Park
Near Batchelor,
100 km south-west of Darwin, the Park is generally accessible
all year (sealed roads) via Batchelor. In the dry season
it is also possible to get to the Park via Cox Peninsula
Road (which is unsealed).
When
To Visit Litchfield National Park
This Park
is spectacular at any time, though most 4WD tracks are
closed during the wet season. Some swimming areas such
as Wangi Falls, become unsafe after heavy rain and are
closed for swimming but kiosk and picnic facilities
remain open.
What
To See And Do In Litchfield National Park
There are
many camping areas located throughout the Park, as well
as picnic areas and bushwalking tracks. Some waterholes
are safe to swim in.
